Half empty or half full?

Here is my quick guide to positive thinking. At the present time there is much doom and gloom due to the current economic situation. I personally know people facing redundancy, and it’s so easy for them to let it get them down. Understandably each person’s individual circumstances are different and redundancy can be catastrophic to some and just an unfortunate occurrence for others. The main thing is to try to think as positively as you can. By being less negative it does improve your chances of getting another job, it makes you a happier person which is also a healthier person. It also makes it easier for people around you, you can think clearer and it generally just keeps you going. Here are a few thoughts to help you break through some of the dreadful feelings of unemployment prospects.

1. Think of the lie in on a morning – no more 5.30am starts for a while
2. If you get another job before your redundancy money runs out, think of that shopping spree
3. A change is as good as a rest, a new start will make you feel like a new person
4. Think of all those dvds you have been meaning to watch for ages
5. Duvet days – Bring it on!
6. If you are single, think of those good looking men/women down the job centre, great place for meeting like minded people
7. Getting to spend more time with your family and dog
8. You can tell your boss what you really think after all those long years

Keep your chin up…….
